摘要：
Beside its value as a diagnostic tool surgery is the backbone of the multimodal therapy of the gynaecological malignancies. In this review article current aspects of the surgical procedures with special focus on the value of pelvic and paraaortal lymph node dissection in the clinical management of cervical, ovarian and endometrial cancer are being discussed.
