摘要
Water resources in Pasirlayung underwent water shortage in dry season. Many water resources that we used in general are from surface water, while the groundwater resources that has great potential of water are not having enough attention to be studied. Therefore, we conducted a study to map the groundwater in that area using geophysical method that relies on resistivity contrast; geoelectric. Objective of this study and research is to determine location recommendation and also the aquifer beneath the surface, the survey location is in a field near Padasuka Street, Pasirlayung, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. In this study, we used Geoelectrical method using Wenner-Alpha and dipole-dipole configurations with spacing of 5 meters and using 2 lines, each line has total length of 120 meter. This method can distinguish layer that has water in it (the aquifer) and non-water layer (non-aquifer) from the resistivity contrast, the aquifer layer would have smaller resistivity than the non-aquifer layer. Based on the information from the local resident's water well, it is known that the aquifer would be around 30 to 50 meters beneath the surface. Some steps of this study: making a forward model to obtain the survey parameters and designs based on earth model; geophysical acquisition in the field; data processing that conclude data quality control and data interpretation. The result from this study is the potential aquifer located in 10 - 20 meters beneath the surface.
