Reunited Germany's foreign policy on human rights

Since the end of the East-West conflict human rights have featured more strongly than before in German foreign policy. In the 1990s the idea of cooperation on human rights in a spirit of partnership has become an integral part of international politics. Reunited Germany's foreign policy shows - according to Andreas M. Rauch, lecturer at the University of Potchefstroom, South Africa - that international challenges cannot be met without paying due attention to human rights.
