How to maximize value for training with ISO 9000

The ISO 9001 Guideline for training and education organizations provides an opportunity for trainers to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their training efforts and demonstrate the value of their training activities to management. Whether an organization chooses to use the guideline as a self-assessment tool or moves toward ISO 9000 registration, aligning the training function to the customer- and process-oriented standard heightens both operational performance and the credibility of training in the organization. This paper highlights key elements of an ISO project and how trainers may integrate ISO into their operations.
