摘要
The notch effect in fatigue can be interpreted in terms of local criterion assuming that the stress range is higher than an effective value in the process zone characterized by the effective distance. These parameters can be established on the notch tip stress distribution and are connected with the notch stress inensity factor range. This approach allows to get by computing the fatigue stress concentration factor and the notch sensitivity index.
