Toxic effect of Aβ25-35 and fullerene C60 on erythrocytes

摘要
Using light microscopy and spectrophotometry, it has been shown that amyloid beta-peptide A beta(25-35) and water-soluble fullerene C-60 cause lysis of human and rat erythrocytes. Both fullerene C-60 and A beta(25-35) partly inhibited the activities of membrane-associated phosphofructokinase and cytoplasmic lactate dehydrogenase in erythrocytes.
