摘要
In this study, it was investigated the changes in pressure/crank angle change and heat release rates/crank angle of the engine used of diesel fuels (D100), canola oil methyl ester (COME) and sunflower oil methyl ester (SOME). The SOME and COME blends in 10%, 20% and 30% proportions (in volume) to diesel fuel were added. The diesel engine was worked at different speeds in the experimental study. In this study was aimed to reveal the mechanical and thermal effects of different fuels in the combustion chamber. The numerical combustion analyzes were carried out in the ESE-DIESEL section of the AVL-FIRE. The tribological effects varying with the use of different fuels were also detected and evaluated by long term endurance tests. The engine used COME10 and diesel fuel was operated on for approximately 150 h of long-term endurance tests. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersion X-Ray (EDX) analyses at 250 x magnification were performed in order to observe the effects of different fuels used on piston rings.
