Die Berichte des Weltklimarats (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; IPCC, [1]) werden von der Wissenschaft als glaubwurdigste und fundierteste Darstellung des Forschungsstandes uber das Klima und seine Veranderungen betrachtet. Die Schlussfolgerungen werden von allen wissenschaftlichen Gesellschaften und nationalen Akademien der Wissenschaften der Lander bestatigt. Sie sind auch ein wichtiger Leitfaden fur notwendige Handlungen der politischen Seite, konkret der Regierungen.
