CARBON FIBER REINFORCED GRAPHENE NANOCOMPOSITE TO ENHANCE FRACTURE TOUGHNESS FOR CRYOGENIC APPLICATION

摘要
This paper presents the fracture toughness, K-IC, of a carbon fiber composite reinforced with the nanoparticle known as exfoliated graphite or graphene at room temperature and at cryogenic temperature. The measured K-IC, increased as mass fraction of graphene increase at room temperature and at cryogenic temperature for the composite with mass fraction of graphene of 0, 0.01, 0.1, 0.7, and 0.8.
