摘要
The aim of the present paper is to report on the synthesis, characterization and structure-property relationships of a novel family of highly hydrophilic segmented copoly(ester-ether-carbonates). The synthetic process is based on a chain-extension reaction involving low molecular weight poly(lactic-glycolic acid) copolymers, obtained by thermal polycondensation, and the alpha, omega-bis(chloroformates) of poly(ethylene glycol)s. The resulting products have been characterized in terms of molecular weight, thermal properties and water absorption.
