摘要
Mg nanoparticle functionalized aminoclay (AC) was prepared to assess its catalytic behavior towards the reduction process. The above synthesized colorless material was analyzed with FTIR spectroscopy, (functional group identification), UV Visible spectroscopy, FESEM, EDX measurement (surface analysis), XRD, HRTEM (size determination), DSC and TGA. The FTIR spectrum showed a peak at 556 cm(-1) corresponding to the Mg-N stretching. The catalytic efficiency of the synthesized Mg-AC system was analyzed to remove the hazardous pollutants such as Cr(VI), fluorescein (FR) dye and p-Nitrophenol (NP) by a reduction reaction. The apparent rate constant (k app ) value was determined to assess the catalytic activity of the prepared catalyst towards the reduction of hazardous pollutants in the industrial effluents.
