摘要：
Helix axes of chiral nematic liquid crystals (LCs) were aligned by the photoalignment technique. Optical microscopy analysis and azimuthal and polar birefringence measurements show that the helix axis aligns perpendicularly to the propagation direction of the incident non-polarized light.
