摘要
Precise theoretical transmission coefficients calculations provide an extremely good account of individual Wannier-Stark states splitting and localization effects, resolved recently in a highly accurate experiment for four and five period finite superlattices. At the same time, we show that the so-called Wannier-Stark ladders, predicted for nfinite systems are absent for finite superlattices. The observed energy levels are nothing else than the intra miniband energy levels. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
