摘要
Modern manufacturing companies are moving towards a new era of frugal innovation. Frugal innovation introduces a new business model where low cost and high customer value solutions should be designed and provided taking into consideration regional customer's requirements. Mobile applications and advanced ICT tools will support manufacturing companies to capture the needs and preferences of the customers and markets, in general. Therefore, this work presents a feedback gathering tool capable of capturing the feedback of the customers and analysing it in order to support frugal product design. An importanceperformance analysis approach is proposed in order to analyse the data. The feedback gathering tool is designed as a mobile application that is provided as a service to the customers. The proposed application is validated in a white-goods industry that is moving towards frugal innovation. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
