摘要：
In this paper a detailed analysis of Indian Telecom Sector as served by the Government and Private Sector is made The National Telecom policy of the Government to promote competition, its relevance and the need for revision has been discussed. Also the hopeful bright spots in the new policy that are expected to emerge which would help promote private competition by providing appropriate level playing field also are highlighted.
