Environmental Policy of Mining and Quarrying Enterprises in the Czech Republic

This article focuses on the environmental policy of businesses. It focuses on enterprises classified according to CZ-NACE in group 05-09. Enterprises in these groups are engaged in mining and quarrying. The mining and quarrying sector was deliberately chosen because it is assumed that these businesses have a significant negative impact on the environment. In the Czech Republic, mining is still active, although uranium or gold is no longer available, coal and building aggregates are still predominant. Businesses have to comply with environmental legislation, but the aim of the study is to create a database of these businesses and to highlight the benefits of the enterprises environmental policy over the legislative framework.
