The noise situation in cement plants and limits for sound emission and sound immission (part 2)

The first part of this article (ZKG Issue 12/2003) dealt comprehensively with the generation and characterization of "noise" or sound. It also dealt with the development of noise from the individual production sections during cement manufacture and with possible means of noise protection. The immission protection law ensures that employees are protected from possible noise-induced hearing damage. The second part of the article will focus on the existing directives and regulations for noise protection and the changes that these are to undergo in the near future.
