The educational applications of information technology, and especially those developing inside the school, invariably lead to the same inevitable considerations about new methods, new pedagogy, and about the changing role of teachers in the classroom of tomorrow. In this paper, some thoughts and guidelines for the use of educational technology are provided. The topic is delicate to broach with teachers, and is the source of some misgivings, to say the least, among the profession. It cannot be treated offhand and deserves a serious, balanced and rational approach.
