摘要
Over the last two decades, scientists have tried to construct the perfect platform to be able to analyze different anions based on photoluminescence methods using the assembly of metal-containing units with appropriate organic linking groups. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a class of porous materials that can act as a sensor for anions in the aqueous media. By exploiting the large surface area, huge pores volume, tunable structure and possessing active sites for different targets, these kinds of coordination polymers became promising candidates for various applications. This study provides new platforms for anion recognition using MOFs. The mechanisms which are involved in sensing performance are discussed. Finally, the new improvements in this field are summarized and compared. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
