摘要
The environmental problems and utilization of technogenic raw materials in metallurgical production are discussed. Development of the SATOP technology reduces pollution from pellet production by a factor of 2.0-2.2, reduces atmospheric emissions by a factor of 2.5-3.0, and decreases the amount of heat lost by a factor of 1.2-1.5. There is also substantial interest in a technology that has been developed to recycle sintering-machine gases and use of them in the blast in blast furnaces. Furthermore, the presence of a large amount of metallic iron in MOS-1 and an increase in its unit consumption to 40-50 kg/ton sinter are reducing the consumption of natural raw materials by a factor of 1.3-1.5 without lowering the sinter's iron content.
