摘要
Magnetostriction of (110) and (112) oriented crystals Tb0.36Dy0.64(Fe0.85Co0.15)(2) under various conditions of compressive prestress and applied fields was investigated at room temperature (30 degrees C), elevated temperature (100 degrees C) and cryogenic temperature (-80 degrees C). Obvious magnetostriction jump effect was observed in both (110) and (112) oriented crystals at room temperature and elevated temperature, but less obvious at cryogenic temperature. When the compressive prestress is not higher than 10 MPa, the (112) oriented crystal exhibits larger magnetostriction than that of (110) oriented crystal in low applied field at room temperature and cryogenic temperature, but smaller magnetostriction at elevated temperature.
