COMPARISON OF SAR IMAGE GEOMETRIC CORRECTION BASED ON MULTI-RESOLUTION DEMS

摘要
Digital elevation model (DEM) is an important input data in geometric correction of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image. The accuracy of elevation and spatial resolution will affect the result of geometric correction. The quality assessment and comparison of the 12m & 30m resolution WorldDEM products and SRTM v3 and GL1 DEM are carried out, and all the data are respectively used to geometrically correct Radarsat2 SAR images. The results show that WorldDEM elevation accuracy is significantly better than SRTM DEM and can significantly improve the quality of image correction in SAR geometric correction.
