The contents of microelements in human saliva and blood

摘要：
Saliva is a complex liquid consisting of water (99%), protein and electrolytes. In this study, a trial has been made to detect relationships between concentration of Mn, Cu and Zn in blood and saliva. Saliva samples were decomposed with concentrated nitric acid in a microwave mineralizer BM-1z instrument UniClever (Plazmotronika, Poland). The contents of microelements in 21 samples of blood and saliva, from women and men, were determinated by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (Z-5000 instrument, Hitachi, Japan). Certified reference material - seronorm Trace Elements MIO 181 - human serum was used.
