摘要
Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy ( PMA) has been achieved in Co2FeAl0.5Si0.5 ( CFAS) based trilayers with MgAl2O4 ( MAO) as oxide layer. It was found that the PMA is sensitive to the annealing conditions, the thicknesses of MAO ( t(MAO)) and CFAS ( t(CFAS)) layers. A strong PMA can be observed in the Pt/CFAS/MAO structure after 340 degrees C annealing and maintained as high as 400 degrees C. For a fixed CFAS thickness (t(CFAS) - 1.5 nm), there is a narrow range of tMAO to keep the PMA in this structure. Oxidation at the CFAS/MAO interface plays a very significant role to the PMA, which can be controlled by tuning t(MAO) for fixed annealing temperature and t(CFAS).
