Occult trophoblast growth after laparoscopic operation of a tubal pregnancy

摘要：
We report on a case with persistent occult ectopic trophoblast growth after laparoscopic operation of a tubal pregnancy by salpingostomy despite total removal of the trophoblast from the site of operation. Incidence, localisation and prophylaxis of persistent ectopic trophoblast are discussed. Systemic methotrexate treatment is a well-tried treatment of this complication. The pros and cons of methotrexate are described.
