摘要：
The generalized nonlinear Schrodinger equation that models a broad category of nonlinear systems is investigated. Utilizing modified lens-type transformation and a series of problem reduction tips, the exact parameterized bright/dark soliton type solutions, bearing the prominent nonlinear feature certain generalized nonlinear system could produce, are identified.
