TERAHERTZ M-TYPE OSCILLATOR: OPTIMAL GEOMETRY OF OSCILLATORY CIRCUIT

摘要
The analytical estimation of optimal parameters is fulfilled for the terahertz M-type generator operating at frequency about 0.330 THz with anode voltage of 13 kV and magnetic field of 0.7 T. Revealing from this model, the magnetron interaction space geometry providing the effective electron interaction with a high-frequency field on (+1) spatial harmonic of IT-mode oscillations is proposed for the drift-orbital resonance mode. Using the three-dimensional numerical simulation, the selected oscillation circuit geometry is verified and the system suitableness is confirmed at the operation frequency. In addition, directions of the system optimization are specified. The possibility to design magnetrons with rather low operating anode voltages, magnetic fields and with the increased service life is shown in the terahertz band.
