Specialisation Cognitive Informatics at the Prague University of Economics

This paper informs about the project which is running at the Prague University of Economics (PUE), Faculty of Informatics and statistics. This project is aimed on introduction of the new study specialisation Cognitive Informatics. The project is supported by the European Social Fund and the Municipality of Prague. In our conception cognitive informatics is a way out of too much technical and slight orientation of the "clear" informatics. Informatics is, by definition as well as in its practical meaning, an infrastructural issue, its importance lies in support. As the essence of this characteristic Of informatics we regard the cognition. From the above mentioned conception follows our idea of the content of this new study specialisation as well as of its placement into the system of the informatics studies at the PUE. Our conception is quite specific in the context of cognitive sciences as well as in the context of cognitive informatics itself; nevertheless we are sure the need of this conception is very strong and actual.
