摘要
At the same time, there is a great deal of progress in the development of professional and key competencies. Employers are confronted with graduates who are not sufficiently prepared to apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations, have poor communication skills, especially foreign language focus, and have not developed enough other soft skills such as teamwork, flexibility of problem solving and adaptation. The contribution points to the importance of strengthening soft skills and the authors present the results of the research focusing on the content analysis of advertisements for economically oriented jobs that meet the profile of the graduate of the University of Economics in Prague. It has been found that potential employers require, in addition to high school education, to focus primarily on active and effective communication in a foreign language (preferred language is the English language), the willingness to learn, the ability to work together, the positive approach and the ability of critical and analitical thinking. Furthermore, the authors contemplate the possibilities of developing soft skills in the education process.
