摘要
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between both personal-demographic and personal-psychological characteristics with three dimensions of organizational commitment (i.e. affective commitment, normative commitment, and continuance commitment) in tourism sector. A questionnaire survey was conducted among the middle level managers of five-star hotels in the Antalya region of Turkey. Results from hierarchical regression analysis indicated that intrinsic motivation, need for achievement, locus of control and education level of managers had a significant effect on affective commitment. Work values, age, education and job tenure were significantly related to continuance commitment. Education and job tenure negatively affected the continuance commitment of middle managers. Need for achievement and locus of control had a significant relationship with normative commitment.
