摘要
Time-resolved x-ray diffraction is utilized to visualize laser generated transient strain formation from nanometer-scaled laser-excited gold films into crystalline substrates. We directly invert the time-domain signals to reconstruct the spatio-temporal shape of the transient strain. (C) 2013 Optical Society of America
