Study on the Problems and Countermeasures for Teaching of Physical Education in Regular Higher Learning Institutions

This thesis carries out an investigation and analysis of the status quo of teaching of physical education (PE) in higher learning institutions by means of such methods as literature consultation, investigation as well as mathematical statistics. This thesis finds that there exist many abnormal phenomena in the five aspects of the process of PE teaching, i.e. PE teachers, learning by students, PE textbooks, PE equipment and facilities and administration of PE teaching. These abnormal phenomena seriously obstruct realization of the goals of PE teaching. Through study of the above-mentioned "abnormal states", this thesis proposes the relevant countermeasures and recommendations regarding the five aspects of cultivation of PE teachers, guidance for students in learning PE, construction of the PE textbook system, construction of PE equipment and facilities and administration of PE teaching.
