Giant aneurysmal bone cyst of the first metatarsal treated by induced membrane technique

Since its discovery in 1942, much progress has been made in understanding the aneurysmal bone cyst (KOA), particularly in its pathogenesis. However, its treatment is much more nuanced in the last ten years. The KOA poses diagnosis and therapeutic problems difficult because the disease takes on different faces in very different age and location; this explains the absence of consensual attitude. We report the observation of a boy of 15 years old who had a giant KOA on the left first metatarsal and who received complete resection with reconstruction using the induced membrane technique (Masquelet technique) with good evolution.
