STUDY FOR TOTAL COST OF DESIGN ACTIVITY BASED ON FUZZY SETS

Design activity is a complex process that involves thinking, inspiration and talent. It is very difficult to quantify this type of intellectual work. There are no regulatory or generally accepted methods for assessing the cost of the project. The paper proposes a fuzzy-based method to determine the cost of the project, starting from the following factors: complexity (number of parts), the degree of novelty, the deadline (the time available to develop a project). These factors will be defined as the inputs of the multicriteria decisional system based on fuzzy sets. The cost of the design activity will be the output of the decisional system.
