Translating CIM model to bus-branch model

摘要
CIM has become a widely accepted format for storing and exchanging distribution network data. Although CIM contains a topology package, this package is not mandatory and a lot of distribution network data is stored without topology data. This paper proposes a solution for creating a topological model from a CIM's node-breaker model, as well as it outlines possible data translation challenges. Keeping the representation of each element from the node-breaker model in the bus-branch model provides the ability to directly apply dynamic changes to the bus-branch model and the results of the topological analysis to the node breaker model. The proposed solution is tested using several scenarios that include graphs of real distribution networks.
