Review of Most Popular Open-Source Platforms for Developing Blockchains

Because of availability of many blockchain development platforms, the number of blockchain related projects on Github has grown significantly, averaging over 8,000 new projects a year. But selection of the best development framework for a project requires one to compare and contract features of those available platfroms, since there is no report or paper - to the best of our knowledge - that provides a brief introduction to available platforms. In this paper we first provide a table of 15 most popular open-source platforms. In the rest of the paper we summarize features and development supports that available from those blockchain development cores.
