摘要
In recent years service-learning has become an important element of higher education. Through service-learning activities, students can have more experiences in serving their communities and society. The subjects of this study included 44 junior students of Information Management Department at Vanung University who were taking the course "Enterprise Ethics and Business Etiquette" which integrates service-learning. These students who were divided into 14 groups offered their services at 8 organizations they chose. They performed their service-learning activities after school. They totally served at these organizations for a total of 335 hours; therefore, on average, each student served for 7.6 hours. The persons who received services include starving children, the elderly, the physically and mentally challenged, and tourists. The results of this study's investigation of students' reflections upon their service-learning activities revealed that the highest percentage (43 out of 44) of students could understand the emotions and feelings of the persons they served. In addition, 80.63 % of students expressed their satisfaction with the course they were taking. A further study should be conducted in the future to explore the degree of satisfaction of organizations that receive services in order to evaluate the effectiveness of service-learning activities.
