摘要
We demonstrate the fabrication of a z-cut lithium niobate (LiNbO3) whispering-gallery-mode (WGM) resonator, by polishing the rim of a commercially available LiNbO3 disk. The disk is in diameter of 12 mm and thickness of 1 mm. We carry out an experiment to measure the quality factor (Q factor) of the resonator. Moreover, a simplified theoretical model is discussed in order to investigate in detail second harmonic generation in LiNbO3 WGM resonators.
