摘要
Municipal solid waste landfills have a high reactive ability and negative influence on the environment. The change in the oxidizing environment in the body of a landfill and in the zone of leachate output into aquifers leads to an increase in migration of elements such as chlorine, nitrogen and heavy metals. High iron concentrations are connected to a reduction of naturally occurring or technogenic iron, contained in the solid phase of water-bearing rocks. When the iron oxides are reduced, heavy metals such as nickel and cobalt enter groundwater. Measures, such as landfill recultivation, will reduce the negative influence of waste deposits on groundwater.
