摘要
An online fault diagnosis system for regional power grids is developed. The system can decide when to trigger the fault diagnosis program or raise a suspicious alarm based on data from supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, fault information management system, and wide-area measurement system. When the fault diagnosis program is triggered, the developed system establishes a fault diagnosis model through automatic modeling method. If no suspicious alarm information is available, the system uses pattern construction and pattern matching methods to diagnose faults. However, when suspicious fault information is available, the system diagnoses fault using genetic algorithm with variable length chromosome. The developed system has already been applied in the Hegang power grid in China, which shows the practicality and accuracy of the diagnosis system.
