摘要
In the recent years, world has witnessed continuous growth of ICT services and global information society. According to ITU, the single most dynamic ICT development over the recent years has been the surge in the mobile broadband subscriptions which has emerged as one of the major sources of world energy consumption and is expected to get more demanding in the future due to increase in the density of base stations in 4G and beyond wireless communication networks. The transition towards renewable energy sources (RES) can sustain this high energy consumption. In this paper, we have discussed the need of energy optimization in wireless communication network through various renewable energy sources which can be Fuel Cell, Solar and Wind, Pico Hydro, and Biodiesel.
