摘要
In recent years studies and research on early education at the international level have provided ample evidence to support the idea that high quality early education programs have long lasting and positive effects in terms of the children's success in school and life. A quality early education is based on the adults' knowledge of how the child grows, develops and learns. The more we know him, the more realistic we will be in the expectations that we have from the child and the better we will know how to support him in his development in order to ensure the most appropriate conditions to fulfill their potential. To ensure a unified and common approach on our expectations related to child's entrance in school, were developed learning and development standards for children from birth to 7 years old. These are a landmark in the development of standards for teachers as the professional skills profile of the educator is built from what we want all the teachers to know and be able to do to meet expectations we have for the child in terms of development and learning.
