BUILDING A VIABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR PHYSICAL DISABILITIES TO CREATE AWARENESS LEARNING

摘要
During our lifetime we could experience temporary or permanent disabilities. The reasons are various from being born disabled; others are as a result of an accident or diseases. It could be simply spraining an ankle or after an operation and while in recovery we may be unable to provide for our own personal needs, and depend on others. When we get older the possibility and frequency of becoming disabled increases. Because the environment we live in may become an obstacle for us to provide for our own needs instead of helping us. Should we assume that finding someone to take care ourselves is being lucky? Maybe in some aspects, however, not being able to be independent a person who yearns to provide for himself! herself and live dependent on someone else would be depressing and unproductive. We should work towards creating a world without barriers to reach happiness and productivity. Important studies were expedited by the United Nations (UN) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to pave a path on this very important issue. Now it's our turn! We need to follow the path opened by these organizations and gather our efforts to push forward. This study recommends an e-learning module to raise awareness and aid to create a livable environment for individuals experiencing being physically handicapped for any reason.
