摘要
The present study focuses on the efficiency of three-dimensional (3D) electrochemical treatment of Reactive Black B (RBB) from aqueous solution. Graphite plate was used as both anode and cathode. Granular activated carbon (GAC) was used as the particle electrode. The decolorization efficiency increased with the increase in NaCl dosage and cell voltage. The reactions were favored by the acidic pH. Complete removal of RBB (having initial dye concentration of 100 mg/L) was observed for 5 g of GAC and 58.5 mg/L of electrolyte at pH 3 and cell voltage of 10 V. For this test, 74% of mineralization was observed and the decolorization followed the pseudo-first-order kinetics. The 3D electrochemical treatment was proved to be efficient in the RBB dye degradation. VC 2016 American Institute of Chemical Engineers Environ Prog, 35: 1616-1622, 2016
