摘要
Web based simulation is a new field combining system simulation and the network. In this paper, we describe a simulation environment in which a client/server architecture based on the DEVS formalism is combined with the Internet. This architecture consists of three components on input/output scenario, a model base and a back-end simulator. The input/output scenario consists of the user-input interface, the demonstration of the output data flow, and the interface, of the model reusing and code sharing. We apply the concept of the model server, using the Java language characteristic to achieve our goal of the global access and utilizing remote method invocation to perform the message passing and receiving, model reusing, and code sharing. Moreover, as long as the browser supports Java run time RMI, users can run our system on any platform.
