摘要
With the accelerating process of economic globalization, Chinese higher education is going in the direction of international development. However, China has witnessed the huge deficit of trade in education services due to the absence of the core competitive advantage in its higher educational institutions. The increasing deficit does have some harmful effects on the balance of China's Service trade. The author proposes a model in which Chinese higher education be open wider to the outside world, strengthen international academic exchanges, attract more students from abroad, and carry out collaborative research and joint education. While Chinese higher education institutions should enhance international awareness, their international competitiveness can be achieved by the four countermeasures put forth in this article which are 1) Multi-mode services to foreign students ,2)Curriculum internationalization to meet students' international knowledge needs ,3)Internationalization of higher education teachers and 4) focusing on the education services development in the central region, to achieve the balance of trade in services.
