Open profile bridges and viaducts are innovative means that allows meeting of two essential requirements of highspeed railways: to minimize the noise impact and the environmental visual impact. This paper is dealing with the problems posed by the unusual cross section of the prestressed concrete works, the prefabrication of 760 deck spans, their transport into position and the construction of continuous bridges for a total of 24760m of single track of the Railway Milan Rome near Modena.
