Plasma-based inverse free-electron laser for high-gradient acceleration of electrons

摘要
It is shown that the acceleration rate and the maximum energy transfer between the pump wave and the electron beam in the plasma beat-wave acceleration can be considerably increased by placing the plasma in the wiggler cavity of an inverse free-electron laser.
