Synthesis and structure of the niobium complexonate [Nb2S4(Py(COO)2)2(H2O)2] • 3H2O

摘要
The complex [Nb2S4(Py(COO)(2))(2)(H2O)(2)] . 3H(2)O was synthesized and studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystals are monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a = 21.075(2), b = 11.203(1), c = 21.749(2) Angstrom, beta = 1 10.631(9)degrees, V = 4805.7(8) Angstrom(3), Z = 8. The structure contains two crystallographically independent types of molecules having identical structure and close geometric parameters. The complex synthesized is the first structurally characterized niobium complexonate.
