摘要
Recent research shows that more women than ever before are in management positions. While there has been substantial literature addressing gender differences in male and female management styles and the barriers women encounter as they enter careers in liuman services management, little is known about the strategies, skills, and resources women have found to be useful tools in moving into and up the managerial ladder. The authors explore women's perceptions of organizational, personal, and professional development factors which influence their careers in management and the strategies they utilize in resolving these issues. Recommendations are made as to how more women can be encouraged to enter leadership roles in the ever changing, turbulent human services environment.
